Fill your freezer with fall flavors

Attention DIY’ers – it’s time to fill your freezer with the flavors of fall.  The Locavorious kitchen team has been busy preserving broccoli, cauliflower, pie pumpkin, and a few Brussels sprouts too, and so can you.  Here is our Locavorious DIY Guide for Freezing Vegetables to help you preserve local produce by freezing.   We recommend a 3 minute steam blanching for veggies such as broccoli, kale, collards, cauliflower, green beans and brussels sprouts, and getting it done the same day the vegetables were harvested.
